F1?What is F1?
Formula One (F1) is the highest class of single-seater open-wheel racing sanctioned by the FIA, widely regarded as the pinnacle of motorsport.
(FIA Formula One World Championship)。"Formula" refers to the set of technical rules (formula) that all competing cars must follow. These rules cover almost everything from engines, aerodynamics, tires, to car dimensions. Each year, F1 consists of multiple races collectively known as the FIA Formula One World Championship.
Why "Formula One"?
One" represents the highest class of racing; "Formula" refers to the unified technical specifications all cars must follow. There are also lower-tier formula series like F2 and F3, serving as stepping stones for young drivers to reach F1.

Key Systems Explained
- DRS(Drag Reduction System):在指定区域和条件下打开尾翼,减少阻力提升直线速度,主要用于超车。DRS (Drag Reduction System): Opens the rear wing in designated zones and conditions to reduce drag and increase straight-line speed, primarily used for overtaking.
- ERS(Energy Recovery System):回收刹车和废气热能,转换为电能储存,可在加速时额外释放约 160 马力。ERS (Energy Recovery System): Recovers braking and exhaust heat energy, converting it to electrical energy stored for an extra ~160 HP during acceleration.
HALO: A titanium protective structure surrounding the driver's helmet, capable of withstanding massive impacts and has saved lives multiple times.
Undercut / Overcut: Pit strategy where a driver gains a tire advantage by pitting earlier (undercut) or later (overcut) than a rival.
Teams & Drivers
F1 has 11 teams in 2026, each fielding two drivers. Teams design, build and race the cars, while drivers compete for the individual World Championship.

Qualifying Rules
Qualifying is split into three sessions (Q1 / Q2 / Q3), progressively eliminating the slowest drivers. Q3 determines the top 10 grid positions. Drivers who reach Q3 must start on the soft tires they set their fastest lap on. Grid penalties can be applied for any position outside the top 8 before Sunday.
Race Rules
Start: Cars line up on the grid after the formation lap; the race begins when the lights go out.
Pit Stops: Dry races must use at least two different tire compounds (unless using wet tires).
Safety Car / Red Flag: Safety Car is deployed for incidents; serious accidents may bring out a red flag to suspend the race.
Virtual Safety Car (VSC): When danger is minor, drivers must slow down and overtaking is prohibited.
Track Limits: All four wheels leaving the track boundary may result in penalties or deleted lap times.
Points System
Drivers and teams earn points based on race results; the highest scorers at year-end win the Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships.
